Started in 1986 by John Lauer, Lauer Construction, Inc. specializes in commercial development with a goal to provide the highest quality of construction while providing the ultimate construction experience for the consumer.  Through the company’s high standards, we work from a client list, which is approximately 80% repeat business and 30% design build.  John insists on forming a relationship and trust with our clients, which can benefit both parties now and in the future experiences.
 
Over the years, Lauer Construction, Inc. has developed a construction niche known for working with retrofit building construction and for working along side ongoing business with minimal impact of the existing store’s operations and sales.

John Lauer

Married 33 years with two children.  B.S. in American History and a minor in mathematics.  University of Missouri – St. Louis, 1978.  Graduated as a journeyman carpenter in 1979.  Formed Lauer Construction Inc. in 1986.  Resident of St. Charles since 1976.  Nominated to the Board of Directors for the Boone Center Sheltered Workshop, August, 2000, elected to the Executive Board for the Boone Center Sheltered Workshop, June, 2001 and elected Board President in 2004.  Boone Center is the largest sheltered workshop in Missouri.

Tim Leonard

Married 31 years with three children.  B.S. in Business Administration and a minor in accounting.  University of Missouri – St. Louis, 1978.  Resident of St. Louis County.  Graduated as a journeyman carpenter in 1983.  Previous employment includes chief estimator and project manager, where duties included budgeting, subcontracting and site development.  Project Manager since 1985.  Has work together with John Lauer since 1981. Employed at Lauer Construction, Inc. since 1995.

Mike Pisoni

Married 11 years with two children. B.S. in Civil Engineering. University of Missouri – Columbia, 1997. Resident of St. Louis County.  Before starting with Lauer Construction, Inc., Mike worked as a structural engineer and as the St. Louis Regional Architectural Coordinator for McDonald’s Corporation for 5 years. His duties included full conceptual and constructional design of all new and existing site, grading and utility plans and coordination of permitting and bidding for new construction and remodel projects.  Employed at Lauer Construction, Inc. since 2001.

Chuck Struckhoff

Married 11 years with one child.  B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Management. University of Missouri - Columbia, 1995.  Resident of St. Charles County.  Graduated as a journeyman carpenter in 1998.  Before becoming a project manager Chuck was a field superintendent for Lauer Construction for 11 years.  Chuck brings his experiences in the field of communication between the subcontractors and the owners and his vision of the constructability of the construction documents into his job as a project manager. He has been employed at Lauer Construction, Inc. since 1996.

Phil Linneman

Married 3 years.  B.S. in Business Management. Southeast Missouri State University - Cape Girardeau, MO, 2006. Resident of St. Charles County.  Phil has been employed with Lauer Construction for the last 5 years, working in the summers and during college breaks.  He has progressed through carpenter apprentice program to superintendent.  He helped integrate technology into the field and help the other personnel become more efficient.

Lauer Superintendents

We have a core base of approximately 12 carpenters who all have superintendent experience and capabilities to serve as superintendent on a project of any size.  These individuals were personally selected based on their expertise and personality; many have a long-standing history with Lauer Construction.  Most superintendents have worked with the company between 10 and 20 years.  On average, our employees will bring over 16 years experience onto the job site, assuring that your project is built on experience and built by experience.

In addition to experience, Lauer Construction understands the importance of continued learning, and emphasizes field-related education.  We strive to stay abreast of the latest information and advancements in construction.  All of our superintendents have completed the carpenter union’s apprenticeship program, and many of our employees have pursued further education in construction majors, associate degrees and four-year college degrees.  A core competency of Lauer Construction is the constant training of our superintendents so that we may continue to thrive as our company moves towards the next generation.

Safety and training is a priority to Lauer Construction, therefore all of our employees are certified in CPR and First Aid, OSHA 10 Hour Course, Forklift and Arial Lift Operations.  Other certifications among the employees include OSHA 30 Hour Course, OSHA 50 Hour Course, OSHA Record Keeping, Welding, Scaffolds, Fall Protection, Confined Spaces, Excavation and Chief Building Products.
